I am currently working as a research engineer at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. My research includes traffic data analysis using computer vision and developing smarter infrastructure to enable the navigation of mobile robots and the creation of safer transportation systems. This website documents some of the projects that I am working on outside of my role at RWTH. I am interested in making helpful gadgets for a visually-impaired person, but also in making robots that are just fun to build.

If you have any questions or suggestions don't hesitate to contact me 😃.

Project 1

See with your ears

Combining object detection and binaural sound

Humans have the amazing ability to localize sound sources around them. In this project, I am trying to find out if this ability can be combined with recent advances in object detection and tracking algorithms to enable a visually impaired person to hear their environment.

Project 2

Animatronic Eye

An animatronic eye that is able to interact with its environment by leveraging object detection and tracking algorithms
Project 3

A Simple Robotic Arm

A simple 3D printed robot arm (modified version of the UMIRobot). The control of the arm is done using a simple implementation of an inverse jacobian controller.
